Free Tour in Havnar kirkja, the cathedral
Our cathedral is central to the history of Tórshavn. The church and its treasures illustrate Tórshavn, its people and their mentality through history.
In addition to our church’s history, our new altarcloth – ‘St. Olaf’s day cloth – The land of the Faroes hallowed in the old days’, is again hanging on the altar. The St. Olaf’s day cloth is designed by Edward Fuglø and woven in Atelier Pinton in France.
Tours in Scandinavian are at 11 am. and in English at 3 pm. on weekdays.
Tours on saturdays are at 3 pm. (in English or Scandinavian – depending on demand)
